I’d love see a more dominant Defensive Tackle come through the program. Like an A+ guy like Paul Soliai or Star Lotulelei.

A+: Paul Soliai, Star Lotulelei Edit: (Luther Ellis? Was he DT or DE?)
A: Leki Fotu, Derrick Shelby, Sealver Siliga, Sione Pouha (maybe an A+?)
A-: Greg Newman (RIP), Junior Tafuna, Stevie Tui’kolovatu (transfer to USC), John Penisini, Steve Fifita, Tanuvasa
B+: Tevita Finau, Don’t start nothing won’t be nothing guy (Villaseni Fauonuku?).

Who am I missing? What have I graded wrongly?

I still lament the year that Sealver Siliga left early to the NFL as he would have started next to Star Lotulelei at DT. That would have been too fun to watch.

Steve Clark from the late 70s/early 80s was an All American DT. He is at least an A if not A+. He played on the offensive line for the Dolphins.

Didn’t Luther Ellis move to tackle his senior year?

Was going to say, think Luther Ellis would be 1 on the list.

I also thought Shelby played DE, but maybe I’m just remembering his NFL days with MIA and ATL.

Can’t edit my post, but I was thinking back, and there’s just a lot to go through. It seems like there’s been brothers that should be on the list, like one example is Kemoeatu, his brother plays OL and I remember him better but both were really good.

The 2008 team had Shelby inside with Greg Newman with Kruger and Misi on the ends. But yeah, Shelby could play and did play both DE and DT.

Lowell Lotulelei was pretty good too, if only he had the same fire for football as his brother did.
