  There are rumors that are trying to create rumors to try to get him in the portal and transfer to TDS. And anyway, someone posting loyalty is now dumb until the portal closes on the 28th.
  
  There needs to be rules on poaching that are enforceable, but the NCAA is dead in the water. They have no ability to do anything and lose court cases left and right. Unless in the portal, there should be NO contact with other team’s players or offers to pay-to-play (somewhere else). The whole system is broken, even worse than just under the table payments to the players and families. And unfettered free agency every year? They have to sit out, but courts ruled that one out too as an impediment to making market value.

    I think it was perfect. They had a good enough season to poison the well of public opinion about themselves just by simply… being themselves. Yet they achieved nothing of note at the same time. There was a turning point late in the season where the internet looked at the wall of BYU posts and the comments of their fans and realized how needy and pathetic it all was, and that perception is gone for good in the B12 now.
    
    I’ve been saying it for years, you’ll always be authentically you. No amount of astroturfing and and nice- guy acts are going to stop your true colors from showing. And when they do, everyone new to them will know why everyone familiar with them already laughs at them.

      I heard his Dad on local sports talk radio earlier this week…I’d be shocked if Smith transferred.

  He also goes by TCuz in cougarboard. The guy is a complete loser. Some of his postings there are just despicable. For example, he’s posted that the U is “pro-cancer” and “pro-terrorism”. Another posting was an outlandish story about a delivery driver, a Ute fan, who spit on his children. A total lie.
