Does anyone even care? Surprised to see no comments about it. I watched the first half Pedo was in control. Missed most of the 2nd half except the last two minutes. So I didn’t see any of the action that tied the game up.
So ND is in the championship game.

That was a great game. Fun to watch.
Both teams have reputations for not being able to win big games. Notre Dame pulling it off was huge for that program.
I wonder if their success as an independent might be appealing to other blur blood programs. ND gets to keep 100% of their playoff money and not split it with anyone, unlike the other teams who have to share with the conference. If this results in a national championship, nation leading recruiting, higher budgets, and future dominance I wonder if Texas, Bama, or Ohio State might consider the independence path?

Doubt the SEC would let that happen. ND is in the ACC for other sports and has an agreement for game in football. The SEC would NOT allow them all those perks and let them keep all their money. The SEC would actually probably prohibit them from regular season games if they tried to leave, or at least severely limit the amount of SEC teams they could play, such that scheduling 12 games becomes difficult.

Notre Dame hockey is in the B1G. Currently sixth of seven in conference standings. Penn St. is last.

I’m impressed with ND head coach Marcus Freeman. He’s only 39 years old but appears to have “it”. I’ve been impressed with his intelligence and leadership of the team from the limited time I’ve watched ND this year. He seems like a very likable guy.

In the 4th quarter the game really could have gone either way with both QB’s throwing interceptions with the clock running down. ND happened to get their pick at a point where they could run the clock down and then kick the field goal with only 7 seconds left.

Very entertaining game. Great to see ND make some big first downs at critical moments, which good teams do. Freeman will win over a lot of folks with this run.

Fun game last night. Let’s see what tonight brings us. I hoping for a SECless championship game.

It’s hard for me to see how any team stops OSU. I’m hoping for a good game tonight, I don’t seem to hate Texas as much as Alabama or Georgia but that’s just me feeling like they have an attitude of “we should be in the playoff just for being Us!” kind of feel.

Spent some time living in South Bend as a missionary so I have a soft spot for the Irish. It was a really entertaining game. I have definitely liked what I’m seeing from the Notre Dame head coach and how he handles himself.
I can’t stand Texas or OSU so I’m rooting for both of them to lose.

Best game of the tournament after ASU/Texas. Very entertaining. One thing is certain, Whichever team makes it through this gauntlet, will have earned the right to be crowned national champs. Love the new format.

I agree. This year proves that a field of 12 is better than a chosen 4. Getting to see the cream rise to the top is a joy ride. The traditional favorites have to put up or shut up now. Quite nice indeed.
