Minnesota UteParticipant
Mike, Gabe, Keanu, Jake, and Lawson
Strong finish to the half. Why doesn’t this lineup see way more minutes??
-
Minnesota UteParticipant
Why?!?! Ezra not Keanu, explain it to me!! Keanu does nothing but make plays. Ezra has flashes but dribbles too much and turns it over, not to mention the free throws. I dont get it.
-
Minnesota UteParticipant
Keanu now has two more assists that should have been if his teammates could finish
-
Minnesota UteParticipant
Let the record show I posted this in the first half…
Not sure what Craig is thinking, Keanu should be 30min a night

Rick WalkerParticipant
I don’t want Gabe playing anymore, he’s been a liability.
-
HahnenwkParticipant
Gabe always has the other teams best defender on him. He is the best all around scoring chance we have even on bad nights. He and Ezra are the only aggressive players we have even when they make mistakes we need them. I wish Mike would take charge and be more forceful.

Really ugly game between two bad teams, but a win is a win.
Fortunately CIN is as bad as us in FTs and it cost them this game (14-22). We were fortunate it was Gabe getting fouled at the end.
19 turnovers. Only 4 pts in the first 9 min of the 2nd half. 8 min without a FG.
Up 4 with 4 min left. Mike gets flagrant fouled – a chance to really stretch the lead. Mike misses both FT and then turnover on the free possession.
Just very sloppy and ugly play all around. Really seems like Smith has no idea what to do with the lineup. There’s almost no consistency to the lineups and rotations – changes wildly half to half. It’s like he’s just constantly rotating players desperately hoping something good happens.

HahnenwkParticipant
Mini Madsen was good last game and tonight zero minutes
-
Minnesota UteParticipant
Yeah, he is a tinkerer and I just don’t think that works. You have to put your best players on the floor and let them go at it. I’m struggling with Gabe, by the numbers maybe Hunter should be playing his minutes. Our guards are a mess…
-
YergensenParticipant
By the numbers Mason should be taking these minutes. But that would be awkward for Craig because you know, you’re messing with family.
-
HahnenwkParticipant
Hunter and Whalin are too inconsistent. Good play, bad play, good play, bad play. Each of them has had three good games this year.
-
Minnesota UteParticipant
I think you are underselling jake. His season numbers are waaaay better than Hunter.
Not to be a broken record but it should be: Mike, Gabe, Jake, Keanu, Lawson.
Ezra off the bench and Keller has no biz on the floor unless foul trouble requires. Guards off bench is toss up but Miro should be down the list similar to Keller n

RickParticipant
Taking care of the basketball and free throws have been constant theme with Smith’s teams. Does he purposefully recruit players that cannot handle the ball or shoot free throws or is he developing these skill sets?
