Some decent points

Sam Harris is about as far left as one can be, but he has been destroyed by liberals over this issue in recent years (he’s the guy who Ben Affleck called a hateful racist on Bill Mahr’s show). The left has largely given a pass to Islam while crucifying Christians. The religious right is hugely problematic in this country, but turning a blind eye to the dangers of Islam is foolhardy. I understand why some are treading lightly. We don’t want to fuel the vitriol by some on the right, and give them more reason to lash out against American Muslims. At the same time, we must be vigilant when it comes to protecting our country against what has happened in Europe.
