  He really is a treasure. Best in the business today. He adds a level of entertainment and enjoyment to the game that’s unrivaled.

  He’s the only commentator who can get me to watch a game which I would otherwise not care about. I could watch a tiddly winks tourney if he was commentating.

  He’s perfect for the conference of champions. Not sure his stream-of-consciousness on quaaludes style would play well on the east coast. Nothing quite like a rambling history lesson and travelogue during a hoops game.

  Bill Walton is a national treasure! A give from the heavens! A true joy and effervescent and integral part of basketball viewing. I recall one time I was watching a game he was commenting on and went to the kitchen during a break to make a BLT and boy what amazing bacon and tasty tomatoes. I have never had such freshness and taste. It was amazing and the combination of those tomatoes and that delicious crispy bacon was truly transcendent much like the transcendence of Bill Walton calling the sport of basketball
