I’ve got to live it up as we are moving back to the NW this summer. I have to get my football in before I’m gone. 🙁

Congrats! Glad to hear you settled on a place. Where are you going to live? (PM me if necessary) We have lots of great football around here.

We are headed up to Astoria. Contracts signed, ready to go. I’m excited. We’ve lived in Camas, Washington before and while Astoria is out there, we are still very close to Portland and Seattle.

We are super excited. Our kids are excited. They have never really been around snow and they were not impressed this last winter. They have been complaining all winter long.

Where I’ll be working is a converted wharehouse and is right on the Columbia River. The wall facing the Columbia is all windows and you can see and hear the sea lions out there. I’m pretty stocked.

The Oregon Coast is really something. I lived in Lincoln City for 5 years so if you ever make it down that way let me know. I watched the Fiesta Bowl, decked out in Ute gear, all by my lonesome in the bar I managed. Surreal.

I’m excited for the coast. I want to live through some wicked winter storms and see the whales come through.

What I really want to do is find some sharks. That would be awesome.

I lived in Florida for a few years when I was younger and I remember looking for shark teeth on the beach.

Anyone know why you don’t find shark teeth on the Oregon Coast?

Good for you! That area is wonderful. Long Beach, Grays Harbor, Ocean Shores, to the north, and Cannon, Rockaway, Tillamook, Newport, to the south, are heaven on earth.

And if you get a desire to see snow you have a short-ish drive to Hood River, or a longer drive to Whistler for a long weekend.
