Pick Em Game Schedule

I’m starting to punch in the Pac-12 Pick Em game schedule.  Unlke last season where I was programming the thing as each week went by, that’s all done!  So I’m trying to get the season put in the system in advance.  

The first week or two of the Pac-12 season is funky.  There are two games on Saturday the 26th of August.  Then we play on Thursday the 31st along with ASU.  Then there’s a slate of games for Fri Sept 1, Sat Sept 2 and even Sun Sept 3 becasue the following Monday is Labor Day. Four consecutive days of Pac-12 football!

If we go by the Pac-12 website schedule, the separation of weeks is simply by the calendar.  Week one starts the 26th of Aug and ends on Friday the 1st.  Then week 2 starts the 2nd.  The problem with that is we would have almost zero time to swtich over from Pick Em 2017 week 1 to week 2.  

So I propose we do this:  Pickem week one will be two games, the two on Saturday the 26th of August. A nice warmup. Then at midnight the 27th we switch to week 2 which has all the games from our game on Thursday through the Sunday game on Sept 3 (T A&M at UCLA).  Then we would have from Sunday to game time Thursday to make our picks. After those dates it gets easier.

Unless anyone has a better schedule idea, that’s what I’m going with.
