Down 37-0 during halftime, Boyd retweeted a tweet from a Texas A&M fan telling Boyd that Texas A&M is ready for him if he wants to transfer.   I’ll admit to being a big Texas fan. Have been ever since Ricky Williams played there when I was a kid. I think Strong gets through to next year. IMO there are only two coaches Texas rolls out the full court press for: Nick Saban, whom Texas was willing to offer $100 million last year if you believe Paul Finebaum, and Chip Kelly, assuming the Eagles fire him at the end of the year. Texas is a very young team right now. Strong has two recruiting classes under his belt and a LOT of them are starting or seeing serious minutes.
  
  Keep in mind also that Texas has an interim athletic director running the show right now in Mike Perrin. He’s a former football player for UT dating back to the glory days of Darrell Royal and he’s already doing a lot to repair the damage that Steve Patterson caused. If he stays past this year I think Strong may get one more season. If Texas brings in another AD then I wouldn’t be surprised to see him clean house, but I think given the situation with the youth on the football team Strong gets one more year to see how his guys develop.

  Strong is a good coach and a good guy. He is a disciplinarian so it is shocking one of his players would be tweeting. I hope he survives the year and at least gets a 3rd year at Texas. As much as a dislike the longhorns, he needs some time to get the ship corrected.
