2016 Utes vs San Jose St. Offensively Utah’s wideouts show so much improvement from last season. Not just the Carrington factor but the routes are crisp and very good. Watching also makes me realize Utah needs more of a rushing attack. DHC needs to step up because I am not convinced on Moss or McCormick. I was huge on Moss last season but I see a lot of hesitation in his step a little too much patience.

Defensively I wonder if Utah can get that much pressure this season. Not worried about San Jose’s offense at all but it was cool to watch ten sacks. Hunter Dimick just so damn good.

Unless you are dating Williams I don’t see how you can think he is better than Huntley. The dynamic play of Huntley is apparent to me. Just measuring where Williams was last year in Week three vs what I have seen from Huntley so far.

For the record I am dating neither Williams nor Moss (my husband wouldn’t like that I’m thinking), but I would say:

We have better WR’s and so far it looks like a better system than last year, so I would at least like to see Williams get quality minutes this year to show what he can do in these improved conditions. I do agree with you though that Huntley looks great.

RE: Moss. Tds does actually have a good DL. It’s not too terribly surprising they wanted to shut down the run. I am not mad at him for the Cal incident. It was the refs who jobbed us and we didn’t get the TO required for everyone to be clear. Plus he was a freaking freshman.

I don’t really fault Moss for the Cal game either, but not because of the refs screwjob; rather, I blame the coaches for putting Moss, a true frosh, in that situation. Shyne should have been getting those carries at the end of the game. Shyne had been gashing runs that game and was playing in front of his family. Of course, I have no way to prove it, but I am convinced Shyne would have scored if the coaches had put him in the game instead of Moss.

I wouldn’t be so hard on Moss.  He had a great game vs. North Dakota and in the game with tds-P they focused solely on Moss in the read option game which is why Huntley got over 100 yards rushing.

I still am a little upset with him going the wrong way against Cal. But this season he again doesn’t seem like he is on the same page as the Oline or QB.
