I voted for him, but I’m not sure how they track if you’ve voted. I tried a different browser, and it said I’d already voted. So perhaps it is by IP address. If that’s the case I’ll have to vote at work, vote on my phone, my wife’s phone etc.
What do you do to try and stop people from cheating in my poll?
When you create your poll, you can choose whether you would like to allow one vote per day, week, month or year. We use multiple methods, including cookies and IP address data to try to allow one vote per user. Although there is no perfect method available on the Internet for unregistered users, we believe ours is among the best.
I just tried voting in a poll, but it said I already voted! Why?
To try to keep polls more accurate, one measure we use is to allow one vote per IP address. If your network is set up so that all users share a single IP, and someone else on your network has already voted, only one vote will be accepted.
Seems like a pretty cheap way to set up this poll after looking at the details.
