      Kou-Nan Liou, formerly a professor in the Atmospheric Sciences Department at the University of Utah, now at UCLA, was awarded the Carl-Gustaf Rossby Medal tonight for his pioneering work in atmospheric radiative transfer and its interactions with clouds and aerosols.

      Congrats to Dr. Liou who taught me radiation way back in the day at the U.
