      to the national prominence, they so badly crave. Also, I read in the Utah media guide that Utah is 39-0 against the BIG Sky, so it seems like a good fit.. I’m just thinking win-win here and feel like it’s a bullet proof solution for BYU.

      Idaho just joined the Big Sky.  They’re the first FBS team in forever to join FCS.

      They were never a great FBS team (they went 4-8 last season).  But I wouldn’t be surprised to see them do well this year as a FCS team and make the playoffs.  Who knows?  Maybe even compete for a FCS national championship?  We’ll see.

          I always liked Idaho for some reason.  Not sure why.  Maybe it’s that weird dome they play in.  Or maybe it’s because they are Boise’s natural rival, so I cheer for the Vandals to spite Boise (although that’s never really worked out for me–I don’t think they’ve even played each other since Boise left tthe WAC).

          Idaho was also the alma mater of Packers’ great, and football author, Jerry Kramer.

          Utah trivia: Kramer grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, but his family lived in Ogden (Hill AFB) for a while when he was a young child.

        Probably see more of these in the next few years as the P5 / G5 gap gets wider when the next tv contracts are signed.
