I actually think this pushes him closer to going pro. The Trib article seemed to think so as well.

If he projects high enough he simply has to go. RB careers are relatively short. He has to make hay while the sun shines.

Agreed…needs to focus on pro career. Playing another year at Utah makes no sense the way KW grinds his RBs. Zach is a beast with a promising pro career ahead of him. Hope he heals fast and keeps the team pumped up!

Look at Bryce love. If you’re a running back that is projected to get drafted anywhere in the first four rounds you’ve got to go.

I COMPLETELY disagree. Do look at Love. IF you are projected rounds 1 or 2, you go. If you have first or second round talent (Love and Moss do) you do not leave early unless you are projected round one or two. Why?

        Look at the money:

        Picks 1-11: 10-20 million guaranteed.

Picks 12-end of the first round: 5-10 million guaranteed.

Second round: about 2 million guaranteed.

        Third round: About $750,000 guaranteed.

The money DISAPPEARS in the third round and later. The seventh round has about $70,000 guaranteed.

If you have first or second round potential, like Moss does, and your draft grade comes back third round or lower, COME BACK TO SCHOOL.

If he goes from round three to round two, he will have gained over 1 million dollars in guaranteed money.

If he goes from round three to round one, he will have gained over 8-20 million in guaranteed money.

If you have a third round grade and have potential to go higher, you’d be crazy to enter the draft. It’s too hard in the NFL and the money sucks too much.
