      We need some killer instinct. Bury them. None of this hoping the clock runs out while we’re still ahead like the last few years.

        Yup, don’t let off the gas.  I know that this game is “meaningless” in the scheme of the season, but the momentum we carry away from it will affect the next week, IMO.  A decisive blowout where our defense dominates and our offense cuts its teeth on BYU would be a good springboard into beating Wazzou or UW.  

         

        A loss would be devastating to morale.  A close, hard fought win would also be a little disconcerting.

        I haven’t seen a lot of that from Whit this year.  Maybe he trusts the offense more?  Maybe he’s finally come to his senses and realized a 7 point lead with 16 minutes of football is not enough?  I don’t know but I like it.
