That was embarrassing. Lots and lots and lots of negatives can be taken from this game, but there were some good things. The main problems I had with this game were with Barefield, Jayce Johnson, and coaching. Barefield couldn’t make anything, he finished 1/8 and took bad shot after bad shot. His lack of effort on defense was very upsetting as well. Jayce Johnson is pathetic, he is worthless on defense and on offense, I have no clue why he plays. And, why the coaching staff allowed these players to get so much playing time before going to the small ball lineup is unbelievable. 

Its hard to draw positives from a game like this, it really is. Getting beat this badly by Hawaii is unacceptable. That being said there were some things I liked. When this team got down by 20+ it looked like they were gonna mail it in, game over, tomorrow we play Grand Canyon. While there definitely wasn’t enough time to win, this team didn’t give up and fought back. I like to see that with these young guys. Battin looked solid, he definitely made some mistakes but overall had one of the better performances for the team tonight. Hopefully he continues to improve.

The biggest and most correctable problem was that we were missing shots, open ones. That, and Hawaii hit every open shot they had. These things happen, especially when playing in a empty arena

Larry is proving to be incapable of building for the future. Half of the kids on this roster won’t be here next year.
