This is year to year now thanks to lawless NIL, let’s figure out the best QB for 2025 with the idea that they might be gone for 2026 and just plan to deal with that after the 2025 season. Can’t plan on players being around multiple seasons anymore.

Meh, I am very whelmed by this choice. Not the worst, not the best. More frustrated that we couldn’t land Arbuckle despite having the budget to make him one of the highest paid OC, then I’m hearing rumors from Locked On Utes that we whiffed on Leftwich by low balling him. Really hope he can work magic for us.

He absolutely needs to return. He obviously lost a step this season because of his foot injury. If he can get healthy and back to his freshman all American level he’ll be a day 2 pick.

Barton returning would be huge. But I would think he’d consider entering the NFL draft. He’s got the talent to go early.

Maybe there should be a separate page on Ute hub called the red goggles zone. It could be a safe space where no negativity could be spoken about the team. Only optimism of national championships every year.

Haha, very fair point. I fully accept that others (including you) were right (and I was wrong) earlier in the season when they were pessimistic (and I was more optimistic). I did not see us going on such a grueling and painful losing streak. And I do think Whitt deserves criticism after the last two seasons.

How much does being an ace recruiter vs just an decent one even matter in the NIL+Portal ultimate free agency sweepstakes era even matter.

If it was having 0..1 game I’d be willing to give him a chance but how many full game with full weeks of prep did we go where he just sucked.

He had this title years ago…and then they took it away for good reason. At the peak of cancel culture in the USA (2020), most programs would have fired him and moved on. Utah stuck w/ him. They reinstated that title less than six months ago. I’d be way surprised if he wasn’t fine w/ the current timeline and situation.
