This truly feels like a revolution for the program to return to its place among the elites in college basketball.

Big Rick was officially announced by USC and even had an introductory press conference, if I recall correctly. So if that is your standard, even an official announcement from the school won’t be good enough.

I’m not a pessimist. I was just around for Bellick’s deal with the Jets, Big Rick’s deal with USC, and also remember Jensen pulling his name out of contention four years ago. By all means, I want to it happen but I won’t let my guard down until there’s a press conference and an official communique from the school.

By all means, let’s just assume that the reporters covering this situation are mistaken, and publishing falsehoods, or mistakes. KSL is always getting this shit wrong.

I’m going to wait until the actual press conference before I start celebrating. There’s still no confirmation from either the school or Jensen’s camp.

There will be high expectations, but also there seems to be high $$$upport for those that want to invest in players (and assistants).

Not all of us have the funds needed to attract quality players in today’s game but I am looking forward to renewing my season tickets and hope others (in particular the students) will help pack the stands.

Utah basketball will soon be back. Hope Miller follows and we can actually recruit a point guard. Let’s get the MUSS back and support the team. Go Utes!!

Exactly! I have come to learn the university, especially as it pertains to te football program and Kyle W operate on “radio silence”. I don’t think it has much to do with Young. Only that the the two coaches share that in common before (potentially) sharing CURRENT job similarity.

I think Jensen preference has, for better or worse, WAY more to do with Majerus and Utah’s niche market than Young.

BYU donors will not be paying $8m in NIL, they will be paying closer to $3m. Dybantsa will be making the $5m balance through endorsement deals.

Utefan it will be interesting to see how 2 and three year starters making under 500,000$$ feel about a high school kid coming in making 7 million. Plus the 7 million dollar man out to showcase his abilities for the NBA draft.
