Interesting. I didn’t know that.

Anyone watching Ryan and Bentley this season saw a clear talent difference. We lost the better talent.

While I would have loved for Clegg to stay at Utah, I think that Utah actually improved with Lance Holtzclaw. I know his 247 rating isn’t as high as Clegg’s, but Holtzclaw is game ready right now. Clegg, not so much as he has to fight off two years of mission rust and that could take half the season or more.
And with NIL and the transfer portal,…[Read more]

Ryan was behind Bentley on the depth chart.

Ryan hurts a little. But I think that’s more of the offense change. Not that focused on the TE and more on the receivers and Clegg wouldn’t have helped us at all this year anyways kid will take at least a year post mission. Who knows. Maybe by then he will transfer back.

Seems really stupid to taunt BYU about not getting these guys when…we lost them.

Then don’t say anything until you can. It’s not hard to keep your mouth shut.

True, but plenty of times the guys who do it have their hands tied by the program and not wanting to burn bridges. So I get it, but I also get it on their end too.

I’m fine with booing. If players and coaches are underperforming to a degree where you feel the effort isn’t there, I am perfectly fine if people choose to boo. Especially since these players a semi-professionals now. You’re paying for a product at the end of the day. If that product is substandard, you are entitled to voice your displeasure.

All this for a guy who has already been with us for a year and was good enough to produce one catch for four yards against Southern Utah.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot.
Phones have changed things. I’m not sure for the better.
Phones make doing nothing too easy. Have homework to do? You sit down and open instagram. Have chores to do? It’s too easy to scroll Reddit. And so on.
There is so much value in being bored. Being bored is when you think. Think about your day. What…[Read more]

My oldest and daughter in law were big time boosters of the U of Minnesota for a long, long time. The way NIL has become a old west shootout that it is have soured them. The two youngest have no interest in college sports what so ever. None. They just humor me on a good day.

Consider that, very often, other people playing video games is also competition. They may also have the same internal drive to follow or cheer for something competitive you do, but focused on something they better identify with. Maybe they can see themselves competing online before on the football field. Maybe they don’t dig competition at all.…[Read more]

I’ve done everything I can to help my children carry on the 75 year history of my family cheering for the Utes, but my children really aren’t interested in college sports.
Most the people I know their age also do not care about college sports. I can’t even get them to sit down and watch a movie with me. They are only interested in YouTube and…[Read more]

BYU went into the Big 12 on their knees and stroked everyone’s ego.
It’s what those people do. Building trust and all that. Lie about who they really are.
Wait until Colorado is up 35-10 at the end of the third and then Colorado wins 49-35 and has to hear about how BYU would have beat them if the game was 5 mins longer…
Their true inten…[Read more]

The top responses on reddit are comments to BYU such as:
“You could have played in the real Big 12 championship If you didn’t throw the ball five feet over your guy’s head on a slant route
Or lose at home to Kansas”
“Hope they have fun battling for third place!”
“I think ASU is already “the people’s” Big XII champion.…[Read more]

BYU being BYU. Being in the Big 12 is not pleasant and being in the Big 12 with them is like having dirty hair all the time. Even while being in the PAC as fun as that was, you knew the pestilence was always nearby.
