102 temp seems like bullshit to me. Probably just my bias in not believing anything about the QB’s ever.

First half he looked like he couldn’t defend himself at all. They changed up the calls to allow for quicker passes and it worked a lot better.

  • Going to need him soon. This run and gun offense works.

I’ve been waiting all season for Wilson’s mom to check in. Now that I know how she feels, I can completely ignore everything bad that happened in that game.

I’ve gotten pretty tired of the “something was wrong with the QB but we decided to play him anyway” meme this season has turned into.

Same. I was also disappointed the refs didn’t throw a flag for them not stopping playing when the whistle blew. I mean, how many yards do they need to push the guy back, 25?

Double-digit lead over a team that’s been to the NCAAs the past two seasons, playing away, and with Gabe Madsen being ice cold, not too shabby…

I’ve been telling people. This team will surprise a lot of people. Great showing through one half.

    1. Coach Whitt retires on his own terms soon – Whittingham’s tenure has been remarkable. There are few successful examples of taking a mid-major to the power conference ranks and achieving success. He is the greatest coach in program history in my opinion, AND I believe it is time for the Scalley regime to begin. I hope it’s a smooth pro…[Read more]

    Wilson had the flu

  • what I notice most is the energy and interaction with the team from these new QBs. Rose wasn’t just amped, he also shared it with his team mates. He was fully engaged with his teammates and trying to energize them. That’s what you need in a QB.

Wilson seems to stand off alone a lot. I don’t see him celebrating or collaborating with his…[Read more]

IT”S GAME DAY. GO UTES!!!!!!!!!! Let’s see what they can do on the road( so called neutral court) against a descent Mississippi State team.

  • Anfernee replied to the topic 2025 – OC Candidates in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

Their total offense is 57 and passing offense is 59. And they’ve had 7 touchdowns total in the last 12 quarters. Exact same as us.

Well, all you have to do is look at where Kiel McDonald is today to know he was a massive plus for Utah. I agree that if Utah had had a healthy JJ this entire season it would have made a discernable difference.

  • UTE98 replied to the topic Utah is #1 in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

Many will disagree, but I think the loss of JJ is a much bigger factor to Utah’s season this year. We haven’t had a Alex Smith, Brian Johnson, Scott Mitchell in our Pac-12 days, we’ve had some good QBs but IMO nobody as good as them. What has always made Utah go is our RBs. After Kiel McDonald left the RB room as a whole has gone downhill. Love Q,…[Read more]

So my opinion of this season is that if CR was truly the Alpha Male that KW always said he was in that not only was he the best player at his position that he also made everyone else better that the coaches bet too much on an often and seriously injured player to play all season and elevate the overall team…having said that, I’m very glad that…[Read more]

Whoever it is it really needs to be someone from the outside. One thing I think has bit is in the butt too many times is the insular keep it in the family thing KW has going on. I’m all for loyalty but we need someone who isn’t home grown. The single greatest get we’ve ever had that transformed our entire program was Urban Meyer. We are…[Read more]

    I’m sure you’re right.

I should prefaced my question with the condition that Whit retires and Scalley is given the freedom to do what he thinks is best.

  • NarfUte replied to the topic 2025 – OC Candidates in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

Whitt needs to let Scalley make the choice, or retire.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Utah is #1 in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

When I suggested we move on from Cam after the 2nd Rose Bowl loss I got flamed. I suggested then that it would be better for health of the program to move on.

  • The Miami Ute replied to the topic 2025 – OC Candidates in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

I’m afraid that unless Whitt changes his offensive philosophy, who the OC is won’t really matter.

  • Interested to hear the who the most realistic replacement is for Offensive Coordinator and why?

Personnel I’d like Brennan Marion. He’s young and seems to be an innovator. I’d bet he has many offer and other than watching a 30 minute youtube video I’m unqualified to assess his “go” “go” offense.
