Sir Potsdam replied to the topic New OC? And QB transfer? in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
The ironic thing about that Whittingham philosophy is that the offensive crap he has put on the field is so riddled with three and outs that his defense is on the field all the time anyway. A fast paced offense certainly wouldn’t be a risk to the defense being on the field too much anymore than what we’ve seen with recent offenses of his.

NEGATIVE! Ben Arbuckle WILL BE THE SOONERS NEXT OC, HE AIN’T GOING TO UTAH.

If Whitt is the head coach – he will never hire a coach who runs a fast-paced offense. He wants the offense to have long (time-consuming) drives that keeps his defense off the field. I hope when Scalley becomes the head coach that he will allow a faster-pace offense when it makes sense.

Are we officially in off season entertainment mode? Wait, isn’t KW meeting with CR this week to determine if he wants to come back for year 8? Looking forward to episode #3 of KW and CR doing another Bad Moon Rising truck video announcing a comeback with IW, Huerd, and Rose laid up in the truck bed. This off season is going to be fun! Some of these I agree with others I disagree with. Regardless, I want Whit to stay. He’s one of the great coaches in the country, not just coaches, but CEO’s of a CFB team. It’s a lot more than just coaching. I hope he stays.

As for #1 – part of this issue is the rule changes. The games rules are set up to score a lot of points. You can’t fight the system. When the system says “score points” you trying to not score points as your main emphasis is too hard.
2- part of this is Whitt can’t keep players long enough. Look at JaQuindon Jackson and Greg Lloyd. Jackson…[Read more]

We all love Coach Whit but the time has come to move on. Here are my reasons.
1) Whit has emphasized defense to his own detriment. He’s taken promising offensive players and moved them to defense. His philosophy of being conservative and letting his defense win games at the end of games makes it difficult to recruit talent, especially in the…[Read more]

@SalUtopia
I think the “best-case scenario” for Utah is, Whittingham announces his retirement, and Scalley takes over. Scalley then poaches Jay Hill as our new DC, and hires a strong OC — whomever that may be.
And for the record, I’m not in the “fire Whittingham” camp. I think he’s one of the best coaches to have every taken the helm of a…[Read more]

Last week i just happened to turn on the radio in my cat. The channel was set to 1160 AM – KSL. It just so happened that Hans Olson was chatting just before the BYU/ASU game. He was talking about how epic it would be if BYU were to win that game and have an appearance in the CCG.
Then Hand said something that made me laugh. He said that he was…[Read more]

I usually don’t mind BYU doing well because I have so many family members and friends who are BYU fans and I am glad for them to be happy. But this year was unbearable due to the behavior of my coworkers. Fuck em. dance on their grave
Don’t let them forget that their magic season is ending via swirling down a hot stool toilet bowl game

I did not know that. I do know that both Oregon State and Washington State have won conference championships since then. You know, those schools the Big 12 fans tell us we’d be stupid to want to be in a conference with again

Chip Kelly always hated recruiting. That’s why he had to leave Oregon before the show cause penalty for hiring a 3rd party to recruit for him. Add NIL to the mix, along with having made a lot of money in his career, and I can see wanting to do the only part of football he liked again.

Yeah, it’s nuts. UCF fans complaining about how they are stuck with Gus for another year because they can’t afford a 12 million dollar buyout and now they are all rejoicing because he quit.
This conference sucks.

FSU thought it would IMPROVE??! Their situation? I mean UCF was horribly coached. 2024 is a weird one for sure.

It’s hard for me to see HC at UCLA above OC at OSU for a guy who has coached in the NFL and Oregeon.
