I’m really having a hard time giving two —-s about the Jazz or the UHC or RSL for that matter. The Jazz seem to be content putting people in seats at full price and tanking for the next few years. That’s true Miami. A friend of mine has been the PA guy there for 25 years. We go early to eat before games and he knows everyone in town. Students walk from the dorms and a lot of farmers and locals support the team. Really fun environment and salt of the earth people.

Well, it looks like if UHC is selected as the team’s name, they’ll really be the Yetis unofficially. I’m talking the team mascot will be a Yeti, merch will have a Yeti on them, the team will be nicknamed the Yetis by fans and media…there just won’t be anything with the name “Yeti” officially sold by the team or signage in the arena.

No worries Aloha…we’re all family here…and like all families, there are disagreements aplenty on a regular basis. In the words of the esteemed rappers Heavy D and The Boyz, I’ve got nothing but love for you…best regards…

I think Yeti was the best and we should have worked out some kind of corporate sponsorship agreement. Oh well. Guess it won’t matter because at the current prices I’ll probably not get too attached to going to games let alone buying gear.

Jim, could be the reason for that attendance is that Logan is a true college town. Lots more things to do on an everyday basis in the SLC metro.

I like UHC and Mammoth in that order. Either way, I would like to hear a lot more Mastodon in the arena soundtrack.

The should just cut right to the chase and change the “Outlaws” option to “The Porter Rockwells.”

I found Hockey Club less objectionable than the others until I saw the proposed logo.

I guess Mammoth is better than Outlaws. Both sound like minor league roller derby teams…

I’ve been to several USU games the past 5 years in Logan including Smiths last year. The students fill 30% of the arena and are amazing. Great atmosphere and tough to win there. Martinez (ex Ute) is one of their best players.

It is profoundly surprising even playing in a lower tier conference. I do know that their arena looks packed for every home game.
