He clearly likes Utah, we just have to show we like and want him! Utah needs to lock kids like this up as soon as they step on campus. Look at Texas Tech, for instance!
Also, his ranking is not a misleading, he really is that good!

It’s a broken but no matter who Utah brings in to coach next season the university needs to up its nil game for basketball.
Right now nil budget for Bball is about 3 mil. It’s needs to be closer to 5 to even remotely compete with other big12 teams for national recruits.

I haven’t seen anything impressive whatsoever about Keller (also a newcomer), but he is getting playing time over Dawes. It doesn’t make sense only judging performance and potential. Makes me suspect attitude or off-the-court issues with Dawes.

If we get him I hope they don’t play Creed on the PA system at the games…

Smith’s recruiting has been an abject failure. It’s clear he can’t recruit enough P4 level talent to be competitive. His best recruits have been Deivon Smith, Keita, Madsen, Little, maybe Dawes. Even of these, Keita and Madsen are only role/complementary players on a tourney team. Everyone else he has recruited has been mid-major talent at best…[Read more]

The portal is, on balance, a good thing. Yes, occasionally, we will lose contributors to teams with more cash. However, I love the idea of players that don’t fit what we are looking for moving on to somewhere else, making room for someone new to get a chance.
I know we want guys to stick around and earn their spot in the rotation, but the reaily…[Read more]

Dawes is a sophomore. He’s new to the team, but got decent playing time and was reasonably productive as a freshman. He looked pretty good in the first six games and was very productive in his minutes. He showed so much potential that I thought he could very well end up being our best frontcourt player this year. He was much more productive than…[Read more]

The staff had been putting out Creed gifs. And I went to his Twitter and he’s wearing a Utah letterman jacket now.
Was a 4⭐️ WR out of Florida. Brother played for Gators. Was Mississippi State’s #2 prospect in ‘23 class “It’s his ability to change directions,” said Andrew Ivins, national scouting director for 247Sports, whose evaluation…[Read more] -

I think Dawes is simply a freshman who is a victim of the fact that the two centers both returned from injury at the same time.

I don’t understand smith and his rotations at all. I predict 8-3 non conference record and the Big12 is gonna be brutal. I don’t see more than 6 or 7 conference wins and no post season which will result in the end of the Craig Smith era at Utah.
This is just kind of a lost year. There is no future of Utah basketball in any reason scenario tha…[Read more]

I didn’t see the game but noticed that Dawes didn’t play. He only played 4 min each of the two previous games after averaging about 20 min in the first six games and being pretty productive (was leading the team in rebounding) despite being a little “raw”. I wonder what’s going on with him; haven’t heard anything about an injury. I was pretty high…[Read more]

Really disappointing trajectory. Had such a great start to the season and was growing as a fan favorite, then his play basically fell off a cliff in a matter of a few games. I predicted athleticism and physicality were going to be the challenge for him, but I didn’t think he would become completely irrelevant.

Mike might not last the whole season. And what I mean by that is that at this rate, he might be gone before the season ends. It really looks like he lacks the physicality to play a P4 schedule.

Can you email me a screen shot of the error and give me what you’re doing, where you are when you get the error? Definitely log out and log back in if you haven’t tried that. Sometimes the login gets messed up when you update.

Can you tell me how you’re logged out? I see sometimes some long threads area loading and if I click like or reply or something and it isn’t done checking to see if you’re logged in, it will say you’re not logged in. Can you give me some details (or even screen shots to admin @ utehub . com)?

Very true, Jeanty has the championship mindset – he turned down more money to stay in a winning culture built on tradition (paraphrasing his words). Meanwhile Hunter’s price to play in the bowl game was 5 million until he walked that back.

Weird game at the Hunty tonight…very open game against an opponent that was pretty wild on both ends of the floor. Utah won 81-63 to move to 7-2. Radford falls to 9-3. Hunter Erickson had a career high 18 on 5/7 shooting.
On the flip side, I got my first look at Lohner. He’s a big body and a load down low, but he seems to not actually be too…[Read more]

He who laughs last, laughs best. We’ll see what type of career Hunter has. One thing is for certain. At the next level, he’s going to have to settle on either being a DB or a WR. Even Roy Green played strictly as a WR starting with his fourth NFL season.
