I just don’t have the information to say Cam really flim flammed everyone out of money and I don’t think it’s the likely scenario. I think he just bet on himself and lost.

  • Another case of Whitt trying to win the last game instead of the next one. Let me know if this sounds familiar:

2022 against Florida Anthony Richardson kept breaking containment. 2023 Whitt puts the team through an extra physical camp and beats Florida but spends the rest of the year with half his roster.

2024 Fall camp Whitt decides he’s…[Read more]

  • Yup, I was lowkey upset in December of 2022 when he didn’t make a decision to leave or come back.

  • Shocking I know, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Keep in mind that Utah just got outplayed (and Whitt got outcoached) by two middle-bottom programs in the Big XII. Now TCU comes to town and while their defense isn’t that great, they can certainly move the ball and have victories over Stanford and Kansas. I certainly wouldn’t…[Read more]

  • Yes, and I think we will and will get better, but this year feels a lot like ’07 where things just don’t line up right. I think if we don’t lose the team, we rally and win 4-5 more games, but we definitely don’t get the season we had been hoping for or expecting. I strangely still think we will beat BYU. We just are just out of BXII contention,…[Read more]

We have a talented group. Properly led we could be the team everyone suspected we were preseason.

How crazy is it that our red zone offense seemingly gets worse each week? We had 7 trips inside their 30 yard line. 19 points.

  • how in the world did Pepa gain weight this offseason? In 2022, he was 345 and Whitt said he needed to lose 20-30 pounds I believe. In 2023, he’s halfway there since he got to 330. Now he’s 340? He needed to lose another 10-15 pounds, not gain it back.

  • Some of us have been essentially saying this since January of 2023 Rising has this team by the throat and is killing it and been told we are not true fans and need to shut the fuck up. But I’m sure that now it is obvious to everyone we’ll just be told to let it go because no one is allowed to admit that they might be wrong about something to…[Read more]

You have an abnormal tendency to worship authority figures.

Many disagree with firing him and that’s fine. But none playing with a full deck think Whitt’s really the guy anymore, even those that want to keep him around. It’s getting g pretty hard to deny what’s on the field but I’m sure you’ll keep trying.

If it makes you feel any better there…[Read more]

This loss is 100% on coaching. Bad decisions. Poor play calling. Not adjusting. Not having defensive players prepared and in the right positions.

  • There is a contingent of fans who seem to feel vindicated by a Utah loss, and deriving more pleasure from saying “I told you so” when it happens, than from celebrating when the team wins.
This is not to say the coaches and players should be immune from criticism, but that’s different.

I appreciate this post. We can’t let this tarnish Cam’s legacy. He’s a legend and an incredible QB when healthy. It’s not his fault that his knee exploded last year or that his finger (and/or knee) got jacked up this year. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes w/ the transparency of his injury. Clearly, he was willing to play all…[Read more]

I don’t hate Cam. I just think him coming back the last two years has hurt the Utah Utes. KWhitt had it easier with a healthy Cam. But Cam has NOT been the solution at QB for the past two seasons. His best throw tonight was throwing the ball away to avoid an INT, or getting hit.

Is Cam’s reputation tarnished? Yes, I believe so.

  • There are no excuses. Not the refs or bad calls. It is 100% coaching.

  • oh man, that one kinda hurt

  • AlohaUte replied to the topic Fire Kyle Whittingham in the forum Football 3 months ago

Only complete idiots would fire Whit. Complete fully and unequivocal morons. And that’s you.

  • The LB corp goes something like this in a 4-2-5 formation

    Barton and Reid

    Hall and Fotu

    Reynolds and Calvert

There is no 4th and 5th string unless you count walk-ons. Maybe if you take into account Damuni being injured, but we have been missing him since spring ball, so that’s drastically different than him getting injured midseason. Fact i…[Read more]

  • I will say that, if this season deteriorates into a full-blown disaster, it will surely take a ton of luster off Scalley. I mean, who promotes the DC of a losing team to HC? And given the schedule, the number of players out, the number of players playing hurt, the number of players under-performing, this could be Whitt’s worst season in over a decade.

  • Fucking embarrassing. Cam hit the fucking toes of every wide open receiver. Dogshit play.
