The reason would be a long season. Our best chance to get into the playoffs and win a game are a function of healthy depth without much drop-off. Fano and Van stay most healthy with rotation. The next couple of DEs after O’Toole need reps to manage a small drop-off margin. Rotate early and often and only shorten rotations when a game is in doubt.…[Read more]

  • Definitely saw some talent out of him.
Definitely saw some 18 year old deer in headlights too.

  • I’d love to see inside Gundy’s head. Oklahoma State’s pass defense is 128 out of 133 after 3 games. The 5 teams below them are Jacksonville State, UTSA, North Texas, Ball State and Middle Tennessee. We are 26th.

Rush defense: Oklahoma State is 92nd. We are 45th.

  • Go back to the Cougar Board.

Also Pittmn. Where did he go?

Of course they are great, but you can’t just use 2 DE’s (when O’Toole got injured). They need rest, and our backups should be able to offer them that if they are supposedly so good that they could start at other teams.

Can we add in Daley, Fitzgerald, and Vili on defense? Our DE room is supposed to be the deepest on defense and we heard in the offseason how loaded they are, and that our backups would start at many teams. However, it seems that Logan Fano and Van played the majority of the snaps yesterday. Why isn’t there a heavy rotation with those 3 I mentioned above?

  • One of the game chat guys (kmc) only comes around to whine when things get hairy. They disappear the second things turn around.

  • I had a front-row seat to that throw and it was one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. It’s essentially undefendable. Only a very talented QB can make throws like that and shows the promise Wilson has.

  • Utah fans that are “realistic” are the worst. Jesus, a miserable bunch. But I guess I am just too optimistic. lol.

Look, Wilson was a QB at Corner Canyon. Zach was a top 2 pick in the NFL. Devin Brown started for Ohio State. Dart may be the #1 draft pick next spring. Hell, their worst QB Hagen plays for Yale.

If you are a QB at Corner Canyon,…[Read more]

  • Totally agree…if it wasn’t for Barnes air mailing some of his throws…well…

  • Except USU had some receivers that were wide open on several occasions. That’s a concern.

There was plenty of bad in yesterday’s game that this board has beat to death. But what about the good from yesterday’s game?

    – Freshman QB weathered the storm going down 14 – 3 by going out and out scoring Utah state 35 – 7 after the fact.

    – Bernard and Mitchell have separated themselves as the go to backs. Really impressed with what I saw out…[Read more]

  • This 👆🏻. Could not have said it better myself. Adversity is invaluable for the growth of a team. The stats on the defensive end are somewhat deceiving. Especially with pass yards. Bryson was throwing the ball with zero conscience. Credit to their receivers, but if balls are being thrown into almost non existent windows and highlight reel catches…[Read more]

I’m not certain NIL plays a large role on whether Myles goes to USC or not. Besides what I’ve heard Riley say about NIL and how it’s used at USC, I know a couple of guys that are involved in House of Victory, the USC NIL collective, that have told me that they reserve their large NIL payouts for guys that have already proven themselves in college…[Read more]

Isaac throwing the ball to receivers quite often yesterday certainly didn’t hurt our chances. I still think it’s going to be tough going up against USC, but we’ll see.

  • Absolutely agree. It’s something I pointed out to my brother when watching the game. You could see him going through his progressions and not just keying in on one receiver like most young QBs do. There was a lot to like in what we saw yesterday.

  • Whit knows Football as well as anyone. But, we only hear coach speak from him. So, we really never know too much about the team and the gameplan. (Normal foral coaches.) I wish we could hear him talk as a commentator about this week’s game. What will Utah do to stop OSU’s passing attack? What will the offensive scheme be? Which receivers will…[Read more]

This was a classic trap game. Utah was overlooking USU towards Okie St.

Utah came out flat and USU was excited and motivated. I’ve been saying this was their bowl game and Barnes has something to prove.

The Ags dominated the first qtr but when Utah focused and started to play they blew out USU. Down 14-3 Utah outscored them 35-7 and out g…[Read more]
