The Miami Ute replied to the topic Comparison scoring can be misleading in the forum Football 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Bullshit brother. It’s obvious to me that you haven’t seen other top teams in this conference play this season. Even with a healthy Rising, Utah would have to play lights out to beat teams like Iowa State and BYU…

The Miami Ute replied to the topic I have a question about Cam playing in the forum Football 3 months, 2 weeks ago
I would agree with you if we were talking about Isaac. However, we’re talking about Methuselah Rising. I think he’s been around the block enough to know what to expect and prepare himself for the competition. To me, if he’s healthy enough to play, he’s playing.

Crap, I was afraid this would happen. I have tickets to the Utah Hockey Club vs the Bruins at the same date and time slot.

ProudUte started the topic I have a question about Cam playing in the forum Football 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Let’s assume for a minute that Cam is cleared to play and is throwing the ball well in practice on Wednesday. Will he be in game shape to play? It seems to me that he will need at least a week or two of liv reps to get his timing back. Even then, everyone else we will be playing has a QB who has been playing games. There is no way to simulate…[Read more]

“All I’m saying is that the analytics are very much in favor of scheduling late Utah kickoffs. You don’t win many games playing at 10 AM MST. We just didn’t execute effectively enough in the redzone to win against Arizona. There are old school guys who believe in earlier kickoffs.”

I’m with you, Jim. I am so tired of this crap. We are not gaining any real advantage by keeping Cam’s status a secret. Whitt is a great coach, but his gamesmanship is out of hand.

Ute Dub replied to the topic Whitt's presser notes in the forum Football 3 months, 2 weeks ago
At some point I’m half expecting the coaches to disclose that Can has Multiple Sclerosis or something and that has been the reason for the non play. It would make more sense than the continuous never ending loop of doom and play not play of Can Rising.

If you were Whitt or Cam wouldn’t you want to let everyone know the extent of the injury and any updates. Much easier than listening to your fanbase bitch all the time about it. We as fans have a right to know the status of our players. Lying about players status doesn’t win games or fans.

Fool me, ya can’t get fooled again.
It’s an old saying in Tennessee, and Texas, I think it’s In Tennessee too.

So…. you’re basing that off of “analytics?”

Cool, I prefer the late kickoffs over the morning/early afternoon slots. Feels like the team normally plays better under the lights as well, AZ game notwithstanding.

Seems like we’ve gone backward? He was cleared to play medically before, but just “didn’t have zip on the ball.” But now he’s not yet cleared to play medically? What the?

Anyone else other than me willing to take Whitt’s paycheck and rely on analytics? Sign me up for that job. One year is all I ask. And I promise not to drag QB game time decisions on for the rest of the year.

Release point is about a foot too low. When Wilson (Isaac) is under stress, he reverts to the same thing which is why you see his ball miss either high or short.
Here’s the gold standard for QB throwing mechanics:
And here’s Rios’s HUDL:

I know I’m old but I’m not a fan of the 8:30 games. The weather was perfect last home game and made it more bearable. 5:30-7:00 would be ideal. Come on ESPN give us an early game for once.

I had a deep cut on my right hand index finger that required two layers of stitching. One set of dissolving inside and then the normal stitches on the outside. It took 3 days for the lidocaine to clear out of my finger because of the amount of swelling. Not knowing if I had nerve damage for several days was not fun. Even after I regained the…[Read more]

I don’t expect CR to play again. Fool me once Shame on me. Fool me twice.
Initially it was reported that there was no fracture. X-rays were negative. WHO knows if that was true or not but I believe it was.
What was not reported was that other than a cut he dislocated two fingers.
Who all know that he is not able to grip the ball or throw i…[Read more]
