Well if I didn’t watch the game I would assume the Utah offense didn’t attend the game and the defense scored those points.

I almost feel like punting on first down gives the defense a higher probability to score soon.

This season with Utah Basketball if you keep score it is a win.

Hell at this point I wouldn’t mind watching Utah offense practice just to erase my belief that they actually scheme for opponents.

Utah has old money that they have to beg for.

BYU has a new money donor that has openly said the Athletic program will want for nothing financially.

If Smith runs the Cougs the way he’s run the Jazz so far I’m not worried.

I’ve had that thought. My understanding is he can’t have much direct contact with prospects due to his ownership status, but IDK. All of this stuff for every school is done through 3rd parties anyway, so it may not matter.

Same reason people go back to the same place for a vacation, to the same bar they picked up a girl once before.,, trying to recreate something that is not recreate-able (probably not a word).

Rising and Whitt have each provided great things. Those are really good memories. Now is the time to create new memories, not chase the past ones.

I’m 43 years old, and I too feel like College Football is turning into something I don’t like. When you have players around the same program for 4-5 years they become more than just players, you know them and are invested in them, they too are invested in the program.

NIL and the transfer portal combined with the absurd conference realignments have killed the joy of this for many. NIL is an issue for all teams, but I believe some teams are more equipped than others to handle poorly appropriated NIL money, (i.e. players that were promised big $ but don’t pan out).
