Sorry, I don’t think Glover has ever earned touches with his play and if his attitude is off on top of that, he’s in the way.
Been down this road recently with a more productive RB and had multiple bad outcomes. Hopefully we learned our lesson.

I was 10-2, and I still think it’s possible, but I also won’t be surprised if we go 9-3. If we win next week, 11-1 is very much on the cards.

I think these first three games have exposed a few weaknesses. Going 3-0 is the goal. This week will be the true test of what we have on defense and offense.
Our coaches will make some adjustments and have the team ready to go. We developed our backup qb and figured out what our running game will look like. Our “throw game” looks like our str…[Read more]

I don’t think our D is nearly as good as advertised. That really shouldn’t be a surprise considering we lost our two safeties to the NFL as well as our best edge rusher. We also lost our top tackler to an injury. So, I think expectations (especially mine) were set too high.
I am unsure about our offense because we have only seen one half of…[Read more]

interesting comment; wonder if it means he is just not effective when executing plays in practice or is not giving enough effort M-F?

I don’t know about the D, but man Wilson looked awesome to me yesterday, especially coming out of half time. Makes me happy about the future at last and also makes me more secure if Rising should go down again.

Good point. In a vacuum, my point is valid, in reality, you are correct.

Yeah, Pepa ran a stunt and couldn’t contain, was great seeing him try to full sprint in the flat to catch up the the RB.

I’m worried about our star LB’er coming off a serious foot injury not being able to explode to the gap or from side to side. He seems a half step slow. Amirite?

Ute Dub started the topic Is L. Barton a half step slow, especially laterally? in the forum Football 1 week ago
It seems like some runs up the middle had some whiffs by our LB’ers in the last two games. I don’t mean to be too negative as that’s an awe fully tough injury to come back from in a years time. So I’m just curious.

Great post. The team has been tested twice heading into Oklahoma State. I agree it will pay dividends mentally.

We’d like to get Jaylon Glover back in the lineup, but it’s about practicing right Monday – Friday. – KWhitt
That was an interesting statement.

Yesterday didn’t concern me all that much. Over the years Utah has consistently had one of the best Defenses nationally. However, usually once a season there seems to be a game that is an outlier. The common denominator in these games (UCLA 2017, USC 2019, and others including yesterday) seems to be back-up qb/starter with a looooong leash,…[Read more]

I’ll bet you’re right and that the glove was just to cover the stitches and keep it from being looked at.
I’m betting he’ll be 100% ready to go by Ok State. I’m guessing he had a deep laceration, and while he could have easily thrown a ball yesterday and had no problem, the longer you rest it, the less likely it with dehisce or get infected.…[Read more]

Hellhound152 replied to the topic Cam Rising’s glove in the forum Football 1 week ago
The glove was protecting the stitches. Based on the location of the cut, the stitches should come out any day now. I was not at the stadium for warm ups, but if Cam was really throwing in warm ups like it appeared, that is a very good sign that it was just the stiches being in and not something more involved.
