Unless we see significant improvement from the team without Rising, Utah will lose against ASU. Our wins are not looking so good right now and Arizona loss to Texas Tech tonight. True, but the problem is that those “top teams” are just Ohio State and Texas. UGA and Bama have their own big weaknesses. Oregon does too. So far this year only Ohio State and Texas have looked truly elite.

Yeah, they most definitely are riding their luck this season. They’re extremely fortunate that they don’t play Clemson or Carolina during the regular season because both those teams historically have their number. ASU’s only loss this season is to Tech away and Tech is holding its own at Zona at the moment. Could be a tough game indeed.

Agreed. UA losing is probably good for us in the long run. Hope they kill TSPP next week regardless of today’s outcome.

ASU is much improved, and playing better than us at the moment. This will be a tough game, with or without Rising. If Wilson, starts, ASU likely has the edge.

You haven’t been watching ASU this season have you? Not only do they have the moral high ground of revenge motive after getting crushed 55-3 last season at RES but if Rising doesn’t play, they have the better team in my book. If Utah goes down to Tempe thinking the game is business as usual, then I don’t give them a great chance at pulling out a win.

There is ZERO indication that we are a good team.

Our wins are:

2-4 Southern Utah

2-4 Baylor

1-4 Utah State

3-3 Oklahoma State that has lost 3 straight games, 2 of which have been blowouts.

Our loss is against an Arizona team that is currently down 18-3 against Texas Tech.

Honestly, probably to 6 or 7, but sigh. The silver lining with SMU playing well and Iowa St still winning is that we have a few games that could be marquee type game. Hell, if they haven’t lost more than 1, maybe even a game day or big noon for the holy war would be possible (or foe the Iowa St game if the same is true.

Yeah, and if we can turn things around from last week, we have a road ahead that now has a lot of opportunity. BYU may still be ranked by the time we play them, Iowa St is stringing together wins, too. We go from #10 and 4-0 (we had a very shitty loss but this week shows every team and conference has them in a season) to now not deserving to be in the top 25? GTFOH I’ve never seen our fanbase like this, since Arizona. Embarrassing.
