2008 National Champ replied to the topic Crazy BigXII in the forum Football 2 days, 17 hours ago
Boise and Utah were trying to occupy the same space in the mid 2000’s so it was natural for some animosity to build. Petersen owning Whitt didn’t help matters.
Until this year, Boise had owned Oregon also so I’ve always seen Boise as someone that could be a good rival based on games instead of the fake ones like Colorado.

Have you ever been to a Utah vs Bosie State game? If you have, then you know why there’s, let’s just call it dislike, for the Broncos from certain segments of the Utah fanbase. Not only does Boise State have a four game winning streak versus Utah but the last two games have been blowouts. I was at the 2006 game where Boise State destroyed Utah…[Read more]

I’ve never understood why Ute fans hate Boise State. If anything we should be BCS buster bros. One in solidarity.

They are amazing!
While I can see why people think they look like SDSU, they look way more like Polynesian islander tattoos to me. SDSU usually as Aztec calendar type stuff.

so their injuries in the game don’t count?

We were right there with BYU. Two untimely injuries derailed our offense in the second half (not to mention 2 fumbles where BYU benefited from the perfect bounce). We could have won comfortably in that one.

I would be shocked if we win either game.
No running game and consistent INTs in the passing game we cannot score consistently unless our Defense does…which they haven’t all year. Other than luck what makes you think we can beat a ranked team at home or a bad team on the road? Just look at the TDS and Houston games if you need an example of what…[Read more] -

I don’t know what the contract is but the rumors were that the Sparks were willing to pay to to $2 million per year.

Yep, just like TDS was bound to not get the lucky bounces eventually and lost last week, I’m thinking we win at least 1 of these next 2 games as at some point there should be some bounces that go our way.
I wouldn’t be shocked if we win the next 2 games.

The helmets look really cool but I am glad to know I am not the only one who thinks the interlocking U’s is a curse. It might be the old, superstitious hockey player in me but the throwbacks just don’t seem to to work this year.
When was the last time Utah won a game in the throwback uniforms?
I have never been a big fan of the throwback…[Read more]

Ute Dub replied to the topic Season Grades PFF (Utah Offense) in the forum Football 2 days, 21 hours ago
Agree. The problem is if he’s mid at pass blocking, and the RG is woeful at pass blocking, then we have some problems straight up the gut.

I want to believe, but there’s not one area on offense that we are good at. Running? No, except maybe Iowa stat is really bad at run defense. Our RB is 220 ish graded at his position. Passing? All 3 QB’s are ranked below 300 in passing grades. I just don’t see it.

They look nice. The curse of the interlocking UU continues.

We are probably due to stumble into a win in the next couple games based on just sheer luck.

Had the two gone through their full playing eligibility, Saturday would have been their senior night, too. I already had a good feeling about this game. Even more so now. #22 Iowa State 5:30 on FOX. Go Utes!

Those are some gorgeous helmets! I think we are going to win. Gut feeling. I have seen ISU play a few times this season and they will be one of the few teams we play that will not be faster than us at most positions (BYU being the other). I like our chances with a pumped up crowd and a healthy Isaac Wilson.

Those do look like SDSU, but they are beautiful 🥹
Unfortunate that we will probably lose in these…

Program is a mess right now. Agree on fan support. Attended the TCU game, place was packed and fans going crazy. MUSS looks bigger every time I get to a home game. The BYU game looked even more crazy from the couch with the camera shaking. I expect more of the same Saturday. Looking forward to Scalley to add a fresh approach to an already solid…[Read more]
