He’s a grad transfer. Could be lots of reasons, more money, different grad programs, wanted a change of scenery. One thing I won’t miss is his occasional 30yd shank punts

I doubt we had any extra money for a punter. He has a chance to make some$$ and play in the SEC and a possible playoff run. Can’t blame him.

Agreed. I’d definitely welcome him back if I were whitt and our collective, but only at the NIL he was originally given. If he wants more or else he’s gone, then let him leave.

I agree. The offensive line was about the ONLY positive on that side of the ball this season. Lomu and Fano are complete studs. Harding is a very good offensive line coach.

Texas has a massive NIL. I’m guessing they can easily afford to pay a punter. Schools like us must be more conservative with monies.

I saw that Boumeister is taking a visit to Texas. Not sure if they have offered him yet but would assume he is not coming back.

I think someone wanting to be his agent got in his ear telling him he could make double if he went to the TP, without any actual offers to back it up.

If there was no consequence why wouldn’t every talented player test the market to see if they can make more. Can you imagine open free agency in the NFL. Time for a super league college football conference with contracts and salary caps.

Agree w/ this. Utah has limited resources and we just have to trust that the program allocates them in the best way possible for the team. Would love to have Calhoun back if it works out.
