Dillingham has something good going in Tempe. Any team playing with nothing to lose can do well in the playoff and he’s playing with house money at this point. It’ll be interesting to see if that win was big enough to get them a bye because then all bets are off.

Reading the tea leaves of who has announced they are staying and who has entered the portal, my guess is that Utah has committed to spend NIL $$ on guys who have proven themselves as front-line players and to not spend on potential. The funny thing is that with any QB not named Rising, Utah probably beats ASU in Tempe.

Is IW athletic and durable enough to run Beck’s true RPO scheme where the QB actually is a threat to run not the phony BS Ludwig tried to run sometimes where everyone knew the QB is a zero run threat. Dampier was the leading rusher in 5 of 12 of UNM games. Hard to visualize IW running for 800-1000 yards in a season.

Ganther has probably been the biggest disappointment in terms of position coach hires. RB has been an absolute mess. I miss Kiel.

Uh, what? 2021 and 2022 were great years for rising. It’s just that 2022 the numbers were more spread out. 2021 was Tavion Thomas’ great year.

Leavitt has completed a few really tough throws. Amazing what happens when a QB isn’t taught to hold on to the ball until he sees separation but instead gives his receiver a chance to make a play. And the receiver actually wants to make a play. Hope Landon King is watching

JaQuinden Jackson – transfer out
Jaylon Glover – transfer out
Dijon Stanley – transfer out
John Randle – transfer out

In retrospect, our defense was pretty dang good this season. Probably not as good as last season, but still up to par to the defenses. Offense was just terrible.

Cool. I’d be fine if he transfers in but if he’s the only QB Utah lands in the transfer portal, that would be a letdown imo.

And Arnold played much more talented competition.
