In the 4th quarter the game really could have gone either way with both QB’s throwing interceptions with the clock running down. ND happened to get their pick at a point where they could run the clock down and then kick the field goal with only 7 seconds left on the clock.

That was a great game. Fun to watch.

Both teams have reputations for not being able to win big games. Notre Dame pulling it off was huge for that program.

First time? The last two seasons have been complete botching of the QB position.

Thanks Utopia. I had particular ties to the interest of the three I mentioned so I had conveniently forgotten that Johnnie was interested. I would imagine his interest was handled similarly – he wasn’t truly vetted or interviewed; but I cannot speak to that like I can the others.

I also remember Johnnie Bryant’s name being thrown around at the time, but that might have just been wishful fan conjecture.

Harlan’s a fundraiser and that’s about it. He should stay on in a fundraising capacity and earn a commission on funds raised. I feel bad for Smith a little. He’s was Harlan’s guy and you’d think he would’ve given Smith a little more support.

Good for him moving onto a fresh start with a new, younger, up and coming coach. Assuming he’s on full scholarship, gets the opportunity to resume playing football and finish his degree. He gave it a shot and unfortunately stepped into a dysfunctional situation at Utah. Smart move.

Me too he seemed like a great kid. I wish he would have seen the field more this season.

Off campus venues are stupid.

Any venue should be able to expand/contract better while keeping noise levels up. A great 9k field house for bball is what is fitting in today’s market, but 15k for gymnastics is still viable. Not to mention other uses like concerts, graduations, etc.

Probably also worth asking… Why the complete staff exodus last year. Clearly coaches were looking elsewhere. Craig didn’t ask them all to leave.

I’m taking it that Bajikian is the new OC there? Still, strange, strange move for a kid for California. I’m guessing Beck wasn’t opposed to having him for his veteran leadership but Rose probably read the leaves and figured that the new offense wouldn’t fit his skill set?
