Greetings. It is 7:23am in Athens, Greece. Woke up to find a bunch of spam! Dang. Got a Greek coffee in hand, I’m on the 6th floor deck of my hotel, and I’m looking straight at the Acropolis. Not exactly what I hoped to be doing this morning, but I’m on it. Go Utes.

I don’t know how it’ll break down but I suspect Utah finishes anywhere between 6-6 and 8-4.

I don’t disagree with you Ute Dub but it will be interesting to see what Alex and staff do – or try to do.
Alex has said that he doesn’t want a “new team” every year. I’m hearing that the best way they think that’s done will be leaning into high school recruiting with a smaller mix of portal players with one-to-two years of eligibility left. I…[Read more]

We’ve got to do better with local talent. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that we get all three of these dudes.

The situation is so fluid these days that I don’t know when to get excited. I’m glad Utah has Alex Jensen. I’m also glad he has his national connections. But uh, I don’t see recruiting as exciting as it used to be. The transfer portal is the better bet nowadays, in my opinion.

A trap game is when teams overlook and opponent, I feel like that will be the case for the KU game.

I am back to Utah-by-5, every game. So I guess that means 12-0.

Yeap, same here. What compounds the issue is that even if he comes to Utah, there’s no guarantee that he stays beyond one season.

In the last decade, Texas has had 6 offensive linemen go in the NFL draft. Utah has had 7.
When you account for the ratings of incoming OL recruits, Utah has been somewhere between 3 and 10 times as effective at turning highly rated recruits into NFL players.
Plus Ojo has several friends from his hometown who play for Utah (Tilmon, Battle,…[Read more]

What I noticed in the spring game…. He is willing to make passes that our past QB’s were not willing to make. If you will, they are high risk, but high reward type of passes. When he hit them, they were beautiful. But when he missed, almost a guaranteed INT (except out D drops a few of them).
It’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes…[Read more]

Completely agree. Ou OL will be better, but when you factor in Big12 defenders, our wr group may be a worse situation for Dampier. We’ll see.

Given how much I’ve heard about Dampier’s passing TD:interception ratio from 2024, I decided to take some time to watch replays of each, and here are my notes.
Arizona:
* close miss, probably should have run out of bounds or taken the sack instead of throwing
* pass that hit the receiver in the chest and bounced into the hands of a…[Read more] - Load More
