A two headed monster would be nice. With the field spread and a running QB speed and quickness should spring some big runs for the RBs. Utah RBs in the past have to break tackles and run through arm tackles to get yrds. Bernard was our only back that could get yrds after contact. Hopefully this new spread offense will open bigger running lanes for our RBs.

I, too, watched the Locked On stuff a little last year. It was actually OK during the season, but the commitment to clickbaiting/ragebaiting engagement in the offseason put me off the show.
My favorite show now is Hans and Scotty G on KSL sports. They put it all on YouTube. They know football much better than the other KSL hosts, and now that…[Read more]

I’m going to the game and making a weekend out of it. Headed out Friday and returning on Sunday. I’ve always wanted to watch a game there since it’s the highest altitude stadium in the US at over 7200 feet. Laramie hotel prices are outrageous and I’m only staying there because I used some of my hotel points. If you were to stay the night, your…[Read more]

Bugger. I don’t want to pay that much for a hotel. Guess I could go straight to Denver after the game. It’s only a couple of hours.

Wait a minute. Just looked at my calendar. I’m going to a concert in Denver the night after the Wyoming game. This is shaping up to be a hell of a road trip.

I’m “toying” with going to the Wyoming game. I’ve heard that place is awful, terrible. Google says it’s a 5.5 hour drive too. So there are some reasons not to go. Any thoughts?

In the p12 I always loved listening to Podcast of Champions every week, I even won the survivor pool one season. It was a great way to get a game-by-game breakdown of the conference and the trajectory of each team. I haven’t been able to find a substitute in the B12. I am in Big 10 country, so local media barely acknowledge the existence of the…[Read more]

We are historically bad in the early season, and on the road.

I’m a long time Bruin fan who has a son at Utah. I route for the Utes every game except for this one. It’s been great being a fan of Utah since UCLA hasn’t done anything relevant in over 30 years. As difficult as last year was for the Utes, I still think they had more to build on coming into this season vs. the Bruins. The Bruins have an entire…[Read more]

Lots of PTSD as results of two seasons of injured QBs. Even Urban had to get started with what he could starting late in the recruiting cycle. Like Meyer Beck did inherit some good pieces and can have a good first year. I want to give the new offense a chance and see if it lives up being a contender. No reason to relate the new offense to the old…[Read more]

Wow, the voters have really gotten drunk on the Kenny Dillingham ASU Kool Aid. I look forward that team to have a pretty drastic correction with essentially a regression to the mean. They’re absolutely not sneaking up on anybody this season.

Don’t forget that Bernard was a pleasant surprise last year. When he had his scooter accident and wasn’t sure if he was coming back, nobody was freaking out. He outplayed expectation like crazy last year.
I expect this year to be the same. RB is one of those positions that you translates much easier from G5 to P4. I optimistic that they will hav…[Read more]

What I ask myself is this: are any of these guys better than Jackson or Bernard? Personally, I don’t think so but we shall see as the offense is new and we’ll have a healthy #1 QB running the show. I have to agree with Yergensen in that that my reservoir of good will and trust is pretty much tapped out after all of the shenanigans that took…[Read more]

My goodness guys – There is more talent in the running back room this season, there is better coaching in the running back room and there are two all-American tackles on the O’line. I’m guessing our offensive coordinator knows all of these things and will particularly use those tackles to spring running backs (and whomever else runs the ball) to…[Read more]
