Here’s the thing w DD. If they can get him to land those tough passes he lands putting the ball at risk as much as he does, he will play one and done. If his TO to TD ration remains high, he’ll finish out college here. I see a ton of potential, so I’m hoping the one year scenario plays out.

A very short and not extremely accurate QB in the NFL? I predict that Dampier stays in Utah two years and changes position prior to the NFL draft. Besides, if he stays in Utah for his senior season he’ll make more than as a low level draftee or UDFA.

He could endu p being a very good college QB (I hope so). But,I don’t think he is NFL material. But, what do I know? I am lookin forward to seeing what he can do this season.

Good to great college QB without some of the key NFL qualities (size, arm talent) is the sweet spot. Our last 3 real QBs (Huntley, Rising, Dampier) all seem to fit in this category. With NIL these guys will play college ball longer.

If he’s awesome and has a solid draft grade he’ll do 1 year.

If he’s good, but not draftable, 2 years

If he stinks and gets benched he transfers.

Don’t know. He set a commitment date twice and has since postponed it twice.

If he comes in the spring at a good weight he will start as a true freshman in 26. He’s more athletic than Fano and if can put in 6 months of work under Harding before the fist game in 2026 he will be the starting LT

I do not and have never really thought the Big 12 was a conference with strong defenses. Even when they had Oklahoma and Texas those teams traditionally tried to outscore everyone. Myself, I noticed most the Big 12 was similar to the middle of the Pac. Only a few teams you expect to become easy wins. What I did not see is the tall mountains of very difficult wins, the Oregon, Washington, USC type.
