Those predictions were made a while ago. It used to be 100 percent for fucla at one time. They tend to pick against the Utes in favor of the bigger schools. The same thing with solomSo Enis last year and Jaylon Johnson the year before. It seems like the people making the predictions don’t speak with the players at all.

If it’s in bad taste or bad timing I apologize but the freakish skills and video of both players whom  Daniels says are unstoppable “together” had me intrigued.

I think Tuttle transferring is a way bigger deal than it appears on the surface. Here is my worry: The culture at the program has changed and there is no discipline with the players (rumors of that from people I know) and Tuttle didn’t like the culture. Maybe Tuttle lost respect for the coaches and the program with the things that happened with Huntley. 

Or we picked Jayden Daniels over Tuttle which is COMPLETELY ridiculous cause you let them complete.

 

My gut tells me it’s he has lost respect for the program and coaches cause of some internal things and he decided to transfer. 

 

There is no way you let Tuttle transfer without seeing ONE snap. This is the worst day I’ve ever felt about being a Ute that didn’t result in a loss.

I don’t disagree with you, but we are 22 months away from that decision. That’s a looooooong ways off. 

And Daniels is very, very good. He’s a better prospect than Tuttle.

this Saturday Elite 11 dual threat QB Jayden Daniels make his final official visit.  He will be at RES on Saturday.  We’ve already picked up one of Daniels WR’s, the 6’8″ kid from San Bernadino.  And another teammate of his will take his visit to Utah this Saturday as well.  Daniels has offers to UCLA, CAL, Alabama, etc.  He’s fairly sought after, but he’s a heavy Utah lean and has a good relationship with Troy Taylor.  

I guess I’m just puzzled with why we are recruiting a pocket passer in Jack Tuttle and then the following year, recruiting a larger version of Huntley in Jayden Daniels?  I guess its nice to have options and back to back Elite 11 QB’s, but this clearly indicates Utah remains fuzzy about its offensive direction.

I wouldn’t call Huntley or Shelley highly recruited.

Huntley only had 3 D1 offers, Utah, Louisville and Cincinnati.

Shelley only had 2, Utah and Virginia. 

Tuttle on the other hand is a huge recruit as far as offers go.

Our Utes are still playing with “diamonds in the rough” at the most important position on the field but hopefully Tuttle and possibly Jayden Daniels could change that trend.

Having a highly reruited QB isnt ever a guarantee but having 3 or 4 too chose from on the roster would be a huge step in the right direction. 

The most important thing is to have the right QB for the right system and im not sure we have that system yet to match a QB too.
