Whit will say things like “ He had the better two weeks of practice” or “He understands the offense better.” “He makes the better decisions and gives us the better chance to win.”

Whit is the quintessential “boy who cried wolf” when it comes to the QB and nothing he says can be believed.

The truth is Issac is hurt and should’ve never been playing. His confidence is broken and if he was handed the job out of fall practice because promises were made and he didn’t earn the job there is a good chance his teammates don’t respect him and with Lud gone I honestly think Wilson transfers after the season ends.

Rose finally understands the O after 3 years?

The CF whit and Ludwig have made of the QB position is unbelievable.

I will also add the fact that Rising has taken the biggest chunk of NIL money while sitting for two years has also affected the team dramatically.

Well, that may have been the case last year following the serious injury Rose sustained in Fall camp last year, but he’s a year older, he’s been in the program the longest of the QB’s who can play and seemed to be a little better than Wilson in the Houston debacle.

He lacerated his liver in fall camp last year. That probably had more to do with Barnes playing that anything.

I hope Rose gets a shot this week. Wilson is not ready yet. He developed bad habits in high school with a dominant offensive line. He could hold the ball forever and wait for receivers to clear the zones. BYU will bring pressure and force quick decisions like every other team has.

The key to beating the TDS will be QB runs for 1st downs. Hopefully Rose is bigger and stronger and healthier to get those 3rd and 2. That’s what Rising could do. Rose may not be much better but the team will rally around him and he can’t be any worse.

I also am routing for Rose to get a shot. We’ve heard over the years that he has arm talent, and he’s certainly bigger and older. A couple weeks of first team snaps and some tweaks to the scheme and maybe we can field an offense that can put 20-25 points on the board. That’s at least something and would give us a shot against most teams the way our defense usually plays.

I am hoping Rose balls out! If the offense can score more than 20 points a game Utah has a shot in every game the rest of the season. Hopefully the team rallies behind him and he plays good enough. He has been waiting a long time for his shot. If he gets it, hopefully he makes the most of it. Having two weeks to prepare as vs being put in at halftime should make a huge difference.
