#18 Luke Bottari, Junior QB, 5-10 205
Luke is a JUCO transfer from the College of San Mateo (CSM) in San Mateo, California. While at CSM Luke set the school record for career passing TDs (46) while throwing for 4673 yards and leading the Bulldogs to the Conference Championship in his first year (2019). He also set 8 passing records as a high schooler at Junipero Serra High School, also in San Mateo, while leading the JSHS Padres to a state championship in 2017 and back-to-back WCAL, section and NorCal championships in 2016 and 2017. He enrolled at Utah in the 2022 spring semester and completed 3 of 8 for 21 yards for the Red Team in the Utah spring game. Being a bit undersized and untested at this level, he sounds like a capable scout QB among a fairly deep QB room; though any backup (likely JQ Jackson wll be #2 QB) will be a big dropoff from Cam Rising.
