Many of us are concerned about tomorrow’s game because of all the injuries we have, especially on offense. I remember in 2007 when we were to play 11th-ranked UCLA in SLC. We had lost our first two games and in the process lost our starting QB – Johnson and starting RB – Asiata. No one (including me) gave us a chance. However, we came out and blew the Bruins away 44-6.

One of the stars of that game was named Johnson (RoJo). So, here’s to hoping another Johnson leads us to a big victory against the Bruins.

I went to that game expecting a blowout loss. Boy was I happily surprised!

One of the funnest games I’ve been to.

I’ve missed two home games in probably 20-30 years. This was one of them. Ironically, the other one was also UCLA a couple of years ago.

I have contended for years that the win that day was the most pivotal win in the modern history of the program. From that win Utah went 21-2 (UNLV the next week not withstanding) from that point forward to the Sugar Bowl and never looked back.

I think the real pivotal game was actually that UNLV game the next week. Probably the worst performance by a Whit defense ever, and the offense wasn’t any better. Whit vowed his team would never play like that again, and they haven’t .

I was there. We brought along a friend who would be attending UCLA and she was in full UCLA attire in the student section.
