Hi Ute Fans, looking forward to our borderline top 25 matchup on Saturday. Excited to finally make the journey out to Provo, maybe we will get a rematch later in the season if you can get past Herm?! Anyone know of any good places to buy “soda” in town?

Anyways, Utah always plays us close, but historically the DAWGS end up on top. Here’s 5 reasons why I like my DAWGS to win.

      1. Jack “Cobra” Browning. He is the best player on the field, enough said on that. He has 4 years of high school and 3 of college under his belt and will do whatever he can to win the game.

      2. Offensive Line. We average a weight of 332 across the line, and they are ready to dominate the line of scrimmage. Tray Adams, Sosebee, Center, Ossai, MacGeyver, etc. These boys have the attitude and are ready to rumble!!!

      3. Lake. A new defensive scheme and a new attitude. Everyone is speaking out about the difference between our defense under Kawasaki and our defense now that Lake is calling the shots. You will see a much improved defense on 9/15.

      4. Speed, speed, speed. This is the fastest team Washington has had this century, maybe since 1991! Myles Gaskin, Chico McChikan, Aaron Fuller, Benning Potatoao, Cort Dennison, Dante Pettis, Greg Gaines, etc. The newbies will be inexperienced but we bring a new dimension that the program has not had in years — speed.

      5. Time of Possession. I think we can win the time of possession battle in this one. The more we can control the ball and keep our defense off the field, the greater chance we’ll have to win.

I think UW wins this one rather easily, say… 34-17???

The Bison have a salty defenses and have taken down P5 teams before. The Cobra still put together some sustained drives.

You would think that a Washington fan would know they played the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (Sioux) last week and not the NDSU Bison squad that you mentioned above. And no, North Dakota does not have a salty defense, nor are they any good (they won 3 games last year).

Hey there Dawg. Welcome to the Hub. Always happy to welcome some UW fans to Salt Lake City. Heads up, the game is in Salt Lake and not Provo. Make sure you don’t go too far south, unless you want to subject your squad to some nut-punches.

Allow me to respond to your five reasons that UW will win with five reasons of my own:

      1. Browning is a talented college QB, to be sure. But the secret is out and Auburn exposed it: pressure. He does not do well when pressured. Which leads me to my second point…

      2. UW O-line — I seem to recall hearing that your first-round left tackle is out for the season. I never like to hear about people getting injured, but our D-Line is no joke. Look for the following names in your backfield: Anae, Penisini, Tafua, and Fotu — there might even be a Repp sighting.

      3. Your defense was stout last year. I’m sure glad we don’t have to see the likes of Vita Vea or Budda Baker anymore. Respect is due here. But we’ve proven that we can put points on the board against you in the past.

      4. We’ve got some speed of our own. Javelin Guidry (California record-holding track star), Britain Covey (kid will juke you out of your shoes), Chase Hansen (I believe Browning is familiar with him), oh and this guy named Zack Moss (he’ll truck you and run 86 yards to the house). I’m not too worried about Dante Pettis, I mean, the 49ers could cut him and he could try and sneak back into a UW uniform. And a Google search for Chico McChikan only helped me plan out my next McDonald’s visit.

      5. Rice Eccles Stadium at 8pm — Blackout game. Expect a raucous and rowdy crowd. The MUSS will be in fine-form and I anticipate some UW penalties as a result.

5a. UW not getting bailed out by 3 blocks in the back on a punt return for TD.

The Dawgs get lost in the night, Utah wins in a close one, 24-20.

Oh, and if you’re still looking for some “sodas” — stop by the tailgate lot. We’re a friendly bunch and I’m sure you could get your hands on a beverage or two.

I’m not sure if he is serious or a troll. I think it’s the soda reference. Maybe I’m dumb.

I think it’s an ugly, ugly defensive game. Two teams with offensive issues, poor OL’s, and great defenses.

I think Jake “the Rainbow” Heaps…I mean Browning tosses a couple of INT’s.

This game will come down to TO’s and QB play. Huntley will play better as Utah switches their defense to a zone scheme to take away those patented Jake Heaps…I mean Browning rainbows deep.

Mishwishnowshki and Gay are the difference. 24-17 Utah.

I feel bad for Washington fans. If they had a mediocre QB they’d won a national title two years ago and would be favorites again this year.

Can we get an IP address check on this one? $5 says it’s from somewhere in Utah County.

Welcome!  First of all, I love the subtle Provo comment.  Here is my rebuttle, point by point.

      1) Jake Browning is good QB but GREAT at one thing. Losing big games.  With the expectations surounding your team coming into this season, and after the loss to Auburn and letting the entire Pac12 down, this is the season for UW. If you lose this game, there is no hope in having the season you were all talking about throughout the summer. Therfore, this is a big game and Browing will s**t the bed.

      2) Our O-line averages 312lbs (not sure why you feel this is realevent).  More of our D-lineman will be drafted than your offensive linemen so…Not super worried about what their scales read each morning when they step on.

      3) Cool story about your coaching change.  Personally, I haven’t heard anyone talking about your defense but I’ll take your work for it.  I did see an FCS running back take you for 7.7 per carry and nearly 140 yds.

      4) Speed only matters if you have time to throw. We’ll see if that’s the case Saturday.  You’ll probably see a heavy dose of man over with jam at the LOS.  We’ll see if they can get off the LOS.

      5) I don’t have much to say here. I just think it’s hilarious that you think TOP has any corrolation to the outcome of a football game.  I’ll take efficiency and defensive points allowed anyday.

Have a good time in Provo.

      TROLL.

This guy comes around whenever Washington is playing, essentially posting the same thing over the years, going as back as far as 2014 on multiple boards.

I agree Washington will beat Utah and is the best team in the PAC 12. Why couldn’t Washington beat Auburn? I thought it was sad for all of us that Washington couldn’t represent better. I’m not sure Auburn is even the best team in the SEC, likely the 3rd or 4th best.

A rumor has been circulating that some key members of the team were under the weather after a questionable WaffleHouse meal the night prior. Really disappointing, but still a solid moral victory and rest assured, had the game been played closer the DAWGS would have come out on top.
