        Whoa, that’s nuts. I’m at 6-9 hours. I wonder if we will see big waves heading in.

          By then they should know if there’s an actual major Tsunami wave generated. They really just warned for the Aluetians and immediate coastline near Anchorage. There was a report of a landslide near the quake, that is the kind of thing that can generate a wave.

            I’ve been monitoring Anchorage news. The Tsunami warnings are canceled for the Kenai & Cook Inlet communities.

      Upgraded to 7.0 centered 7mi northwest of JBER Elmendorf… Which is where my family is. 🙁

        Fam safe. No heat, but I assume being on the base, they’ll have plenty of shelter, and relief.

      There have been more than ten aftershocks so far. Most buildings are EQ resistant, but a lot of highways and bridges are out. The highway to Wasilla is out.
