        Terrible to see. He’s been awful this year but I felt like he was gonna snap out of it.

        What’s sad is I remember that Theisman injury and also a couple weeks later David Letterman had as part of his “Christmas Gifts” sketch a “Joe Theisman Pencil Sharpener” with his leg as the crank that rotated.  It was almost as funny as the “Exxon Valdez Gravy Boat”.   Some of the best dark humor of Letterman.
