      I would have been very surprised if he had not won it.

      Johnson also played great, but he doesn’t have the stats.  He just made sure his guy was never open.

      Johnson held one of the best receivers in the country to ONE CATCH for 7 yards… I mean, part of the credit for that goes to guys like Anae, but that is super impressive. When is he going to get the recognition that he deserves?

        Johnson may be the best defensive player in the conference because of what he does with the opponent’s best receiver.  IMO, he is the defensive player of the year so far in the PAC 12.  

        We are loaded on defense when you look at it; Johnson, Anae, Fotu, Penisini, Bernard, Lloyd, Blackmon, Guidry and more.  At least four of those guys and possibly more will be first-team all-conference.  All of them likely will be somewhere on the all PAC12 defense.  That’s amazing!!!

      Is he the best Utah DB ever?  I think he is better than Sean Smith.
