  I admit I don’t watch much NFL football but do occasionally catch a playoff and the Super Bowl game. Just curious, what happened to Matt Gay? Wasn’t he the kicker for Tampa Bay at one time? I’m sure it’s old news but since I’m out of the loop thought I’d find out.

    He had a bad game earlier this year, where he missed 2 FGs and 2 PATs, and was subsequently waived.
    
    He then got picked up by the Colts a week or two later, and then was traded to the Rams 2 months after THAT, and then went 3-for-3 in PATs, and 2-for-3 in FGs — including the game winner — in a game against the Buccaneers.
