Fun meet to watch, but Michigan led wire to wire.

We are big fans. Redrocks had a fantastic meet today. Michigan, Oklahoma and Utah were really at the top of their games today.

I thought Utah was underscored on the floor. 4 of their vaulters do a 10.0 start value vault and they needed all 4 of them to go at least 9.0 to have a shot at the title – they came close.

Likely yes. Utah could have pulled it off today with a season best vault performance, but if you consider they were only .262 off Michigan and figure Skinner could make an impact of at least +.2-.4 points on this roster, it’s fair to assume it could have made a big difference.

That said, Skinner said she is coming back next year and she’ll be joined by 2 incoming gymnasts from the US National team as well as a bar specialist, so this team will be absolutely stacked with elite talent.

The Olympic trials are in June, which is when the 5 top US National team members will be selected for the Olympics.
