I’m sure this is happening in hopes that the NCAA doesn’t come down even harder on them.

They’re cheating bastards. They were before Herm and they will be after Herm.

I love these self-imposed “penalties” where you pretend to deny yourself something that had a 1% chance of happening.

Since I was inspired by the ASU bowl ban, I decided to self-impose a ban on me winning the Powerball last Saturday. It is my hope that by denying myself over 300 MM, I will be absolved from any future repercussions to any actions I will take in my life since I have already subjected myself to the harshest penalty ever imposed on a single individual.

The fallout from the case has already been significant, as it has led to five full-time coaches leaving the staff or being fired, including defensive coordinator Antonio Pierce, alleged as the ringleader who created a culture in which rule breaking was rewarded. Pierce and former offensive coordinator Zak Hill are among the coaches no longer on staff.

I thought I’d heard that name before. Pierce has been the LBs coach for the LV Raiders the last two seasons. I guess what you did in college, stays in college.

it’s not uncommon. Chip Kelly ran to the league until his show-cause penalty for recruiting violations at Oregon expired. The pros don’t care as long as you don’t embarrass their image.
