As bad as Ok State.

Not sure we’d win a rematch. This team’s in free fall.

to be fair, only SUU would be a win if they were to replay the schedule again and that would be close to a tossup. Definitely wouldn’t want to face Baylor again now that they’ve figured their QB out.

We beat the “figured out qb” last year..

We were a better team last year

The funny thing to me is that if you looked at this message board alone and hadn’t watched any of the games, you would think Utah was 0-8 with an average losing margin of 30 points. Instead we have 4 losses of 14, 8, 6, and 3. We are literally one score in each game away from being 7-1. This is hardly a team that is getting their a**es handed to them every game. I agree that it feels that way, but facts are facts. We will see how we do against better competition down the stretch though.

that’s the key: the competition level. Utah has played the 120th rated schedule in adjusted win % and can’t be counted on to score 2 TD’s. It’s hard to play the “we’re only a couple of points from being great” game when points are so scarce.

With an offense, we are one score away in 3 games from being Pitt! Lol

Yep, welcome to 2012 Utah Football. Hope to slow the other team down enough so that the defense or special teams can make a play to provide the difference.
Against FBS teams: offense 19.0 ppg, 356.3 ypg; defense 18.86 ppg, 325.4 ypg. That’s the definition of mediocre

Look at the teams we lost to. And some of them at home, where we typically have a huge home field advantage. It is that bad.

Pile on alert! Scary when digging into some of the game numbers over the past month. Arizona has not won a game since beating Utah at the RES. In the 5 games after Utah, opposing teams avg 38 points a game against UofA. Utah’s 10 points scored against UofA is the lowest point total allowed all season by UofA equal to NAU. Caleb Lohner scored the only TD in the Arizona game and hasn’t caught a pass since. Sadly, in the end, Utah’s lone victory over OSU maybe the key win keeping Utah out of #16 spot in the battle for the B12 basement. KW, Liepold, and Gundy may need to meet up for post season beers and drown their sorrows. Not sure who grabs the tab with the collective $21 million yearly base salary these guys are pulling in. Not a good season for the top three highest paid, most tenured coaches in the B12 with a whopping 2-14 combined conference record at the moment. Older school coaches are struggling to adapt in the new college football landscape. We could see a lot of coaching turnover in the B12. Hoping for some after dark weirdness this Saturday.

It sure feels like Utah is 0-8.
