      My guess, after commiting to Dawes, we probably don’t want to pay what Ausar can get.

      It’s probably all NIL for all these guys. If Utah matches what they get offered they may come back, otherwise they leave. It’s the smart play for Ezra.

      That’s how he came to Utah. I think NIL is just bad for college sports whether it favors Utah and other universities or not. Understand this is the nature of the business in college sports, but I think in time the balloon will burst and fanbases across the country will slowly discontinue supporting college sports as it doesn’t benefit all student athletes but just the good ones and only sports entertainment like ESPN and FOX networks. If these kids want to get paid, that’s what the G league is for (semi-pro league). When NIL completely controls college sports and negatively affects all universities in the country, I expect them to lose tons of money and the greedy powers that be won’t be able to sustain operations because fanbases will stop watching and stop attending games as their favorite teams are being left out. They will shift their time and attention to more important things that have more meaning in life.
