With bad moon disappearing in the night we are officially back to the future. Can Wilson get the team behind him and finish the year strong ? With six games left and nothing to lose will Whitt and Lud open things up and let the offense and defense take chances and play loose and have fun playing football again? Will the Utes reel off six wins beat BYU and let Whitt retire and build momentum for the Scalley era ?

The coaches and players have put in way to much time and effort to just give up at this point. It’s time to play to win instead of trying not to lose. Mistakes and turnovers are part of the game. Time to get more creative instead of more conservative.

As a fan I want to see more big plays and exciting football not just same ole same ole offense and defense. The future is now let’s get it started on the right foot. Yes this is a positive post.

Just have one game to be concerned about this week which is the return of TCU (who slapped us around a few times before we parted ways).

Need to find some confidence in the red zone and need more stops and chaos plays on defense.

Fans need to be supportive and loud to let the team know we are behind them.

I agree that I want Whitt and Ludwig to open it up. We don’t have a lot to lose. Let Wilson play and do what he does best. He will make mistakes, but that is how he will learn. He is our future.

With a Freshman leading our offense and so many key injuries on defense, I highly doubt we will win the remainder of our games, and that’s okay. Like you say, go out and play and have fun doing it.

Can we turn things around? We can, but it is up to the players. They need to get excited. This week’s game is key. If we come out and play well and get a win, I think this will put a spark back into the team. However, if we are sloppy and lose …

I see no reason we can’t win the rest of our games. We have the talent. Hopefully the players meeting aired some feelings that can be relayed to the coaching staff. We are the hunters now not the hunted.

      My goals would be:
      1. Open up the offense. Give Wilson experience, and let him make mistakes. (Are Whit and Lud even capable of that, though?)
      2. Make a bowl game.
      3. Beat BYU. (Though it sickens me that we’re back to a point where we may measure the success of the rest of our season on whether or not we beat BYU instead of whether or not we’re competing for a championship. It’s like back to where the program was in the 90’s. Gross.)
